Grilled New Zealand Salmon with Lemon Butter Sauce

Serves: 4

Method

  • Season the salmon with flakey sea salt (approximately ½ teaspoon per portion)
  • Heat a large grill frying pan over a high heat. 
  • Brush the salmon with cooking oil and place into the hot pan, what would be skin-side down, and cook for 3-4 minutes. 
  • Flip to cook the under side of the salmon for another 3-4 minutes or until cooked through, thick portions may require longer cooking time. 
  • When cooked remove from the pan & keep warm.

 

Lemon Butter Sauce 

  • Purée garlic with lime juice, salt and pepper in a food blender until smooth. With motor running, add melted butter and blend until emulsified, about 30 seconds.
  • Keep warm until required.
