NZ Greenshell™ Honghap Tang (Korean mussel soup)


A traditional Korean mussel soup, known as a ‘pick me up’. In Korea this soup is generally consumed while drinking alcohol or the morning after, as the mussel soup is known for soothing the stomach as well as its liver detoxifying properties.

Serves: Single serve


  • Bring water to the boil. Add sliced garlic, green onion, red pepper and seasoning. Simmer for five minutes before adding mussels.
  • Add mussels, simmer for approximately three to four minutes, until mussels are tender and succulent.
